Application study of preoperative respiratory tract management in the nursing outpatient of lung cancer patients receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy
Objective To explore the application effect of preoperative respiratory management based on nursing outpatient care in lung cancer patients with neoadjuvant chemotherapy.Method Using the quasi-experimental research method of non-contemporaneous controlled study design,57 patients admitted to the department of pulmonary sur-gery at a Class Ⅲ Grade A hospital in Tianjin from June 2021 to May 2022 were selected as the control group and re-ceived routine care, while 57 patients admitted from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the observation group and underwent a preoperative respiratory management program based on nursing outpatient clinic. The level of lung function at baseline and 1 day before surgery, postoperative pulmonary complication rate, and postoperative hospital stay were compared between the two groups. Results The arterial partial pressure of oxygen and the level of oxygen saturation in the observation group exhibited higher values compared to those in the control group(P<0.05).Addi-tionally,the partial pressure of arterial carbon dioxide in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The prevalence of pulmonary complications in the observation group was 7.02%,a significantly lower rate compared to 26.3%in the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,there was no statistically significant difference in the duration of postoperative hospitalization between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The appli-cation of preoperative respiratory management based on nursing outpatient care can improve the preoperative lung function in lung cancer patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy, decrease the incidence of pulmonary compli-cations,and facilitate the pulmonary rehabilitation of patients.
