Implementation and evaluation of training course for nursing team in emergency response to pediatric public health emergencies
Objective To set up and implement emergency response rescue training course of children's public health emergencies, and explore application effect of the course. Methods According to the theoretical model of dis-aster rescue and emergency response of WHO and disaster nursing competency standard of International Nurses As-sociation,and the curriculum setting and content were demonstrated by expert consultation.A total of 93 nursing staff were selected to participate in the course training from November to December 2021,the teaching evaluation was carried out with theories and skills assessment, nurses'online learning attitude scale and course satisfaction questionnaire. Results Ninety-three nurses attended and completed the course assessment. After systematic teaching and training, the performance of emergency response and rescue theory assessment of nursing staff was significantly improved, and the pass rate was significantly increased from 56.3%to 89.2%(P<0.05),the pass rate of skill as-sessment was 100%.The nurses were receptive to online learning, but felt it had limited effect on promoting clinical practice. At the same time, they were satisfied with the overall course and thought that the teaching quality of teach-ers was high, but suggested adding offline discussion classes to improve the learning effect. Conclusion The estab-lishment of a systematic emergency response training course for children's public health incidents can effectively help nursing staff improve their comprehensive rescue capabilities, and blended learning helps to maximize teaching effi-ciency and quality.
