Objective To construct the Chinese version of nursing presence scale(NPS)and verifyits reliability and validityin inpatients.Methods The English version ofNPSwas translated,translated back,and adjusted across cultures according to the Brislin translation model,and the Chinese version of NPS was finally developed.The con-tent validity of the Chinese version of NPS was evaluated by experts,and the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of NPS was measured in 396 inpatientsin 3 tertiary hospitals in Tianjin from September to November 2022.Results The retest reliability of the Chinese version of NPS was 0.906,and the Cornbach's a coefficient of the scale was 0.923,and the average content validity indexof the scale was 0.979,and the content validity indexof each item was 0.857-1.000.Four common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 69.309％.Conclusion The Chinese version of NPS can be used to quantify the degree of nursing presence in inpatients with good reliability and validity.
