The aim of this study is to explore the application of virtual reality technology, based on situational learning theory,in the teaching and training of unexplained disease management
Objective To explore the effectiveness of virtual reality(VR)technology based on situated learning theory(SLT)for standardized training of nurses in unexplained sudden public health events. Methods 106 nurses who were trained in Suining Central Hospital from February to April 2023 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into a control group and an observation group of 53 each using the random number table method. The control group used conventional teaching mode, and the observation group used SLT-based VR teaching mode. After 4 weeks of intervention, the 2 groups of regulation nurses were compared in terms of independent learning ability, heart flow state and clinical thinking ability.Results(1)Comparison of the total scores of autonomous learning abili-ty,task analysis dimension and self-monitoring and regulation dimension after the intervention of the 2 groups of trained nurses showed statistically significant differences(P>0.05),but comparison of self-motivated beliefs di-mension and self-appraisal dimension did not show any statistically significant differences(P>0.05).(2)Compari-son of the total score of heart flow state and the scores of each dimension after the intervention of the 2 groups of regular nurses, the difference was statistically significant(P>0.05).(3)Comparison of the total scores of clinical thinking skills after the intervention of the 2 groups of trained nurses, the difference was statistically significant(P>0.05),including the comparison of basic knowledge of epidemiology, disinfection treatment and clinical deci-sion-making and health education among the 5 sites, but the comparison of the 2 sites of disease diagnosis and envi-ronmental assessment, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The use of SLT-based VR technology for teaching and training of trained nurses on unexplained sudden public health events is conducive to improving the independent learning ability and theoretical knowledge of trained nurses, improving the state of car-diofluidic flow during learning, and cultivating their clinical thinking ability, which will provide a reference for the development of training programs for trained nurses in the future.
