Construction and application of remote management scheme of community prostate cancer screening based on health belief model
Objective To construct a remote management program for prostate cancer screening in the community based on the health belief model and verify itsapplication value. Methods The remote management program based on health belief modelwas applied to the pre-hospital management of 86 patients(observation group)with positive pre-liminary screening of prostate cancer screened in the community from December 2021 to March 2022,and the histori-cal comparison was made with 83 patients(control group)from August to November 2021.The control group re-ceived routine health education in community hospital and telephone follow-up in general hospital; On the basis of the control group, the observation group carried out remote management of prostate cancer screening based on the health belief model. The consulting rate, interval between consultation, diagnosis rate, lower urinary tract symptoms,lev-el of disease knowledge, and health-promoting lifestyle were compared between 2 groups, data and satisfaction ofthe patient management procedures in the observation were recorded. Results The consulting rate of primary sieve posi-tive patientswas improved from 30.12%to 58.13%,and the interval between consultation was shortened from(12.5±7.1)days to(10.5±6.7)days,and the differences of these indicates between 2 groups were statistically signifi-cant(P<0.05).The diagnosis rate of the observation group was 6.98%and was higher than that of the control group 2.41%,and the follow-up rate in the observation group was 89.64%,and the satisfaction rate of the remote management program was above 90%.Conclusion The remote management program for prostate cancer screening not only can provide scientific and efficient health management for patients, but also can improve the consulting rate of patients, and promote early diagnosis and early treatmentin patients with prostate cancer.
