The influence of knowledge hiding behavior on scientific research ability of nursing postgraduates:The intermediary function of psychological sense of security
Objective To explore the mediating effect of team psychological safety on the relationship between knowledge hiding behavior and scientific research ability of nursing postgraduates.Methods Using convenience sam-pling method,from January 2022 to January 2023,387 nursing postgraduates from 5 universities in Shanxi province and Hunan province were investigated with general data questionnaire,knowledge hiding behavior scale,team psy-chological safety scale and scientific research ability evaluation questionnaire.Results The scores of team psychologi-cal safety,knowledge hiding behavior,and scientific research ability of nursing postgraduates were 30(26,35),48(37,57),and 94(80,100)respectively.Team psychological safety was positively correlated with scientific research ability,while knowledge hiding behavior was negatively correlated with scientific research ability.Additionally,team psychological safety was negatively correlated with knowledge hiding behavior(all P<0.001).Team psychological safety played a partial mediating role between knowledge hiding behavior and scientific research ability of nursing postgraduates,accounting for 41.25%.Conclusion Team psychological safety serves as a mediating variable between knowledge hiding behavior and scientific research ability of nursing postgraduates.Nursing educatorscan take effec-tive measures to reduce their knowledge hiding behavior and enhance team psychological safety,which is an effective way to scientific research ability of nursing postgraduates.
