Objective To investigate the post setting and influencing factors among hemodialysis vascular access coordinator in Henan.Methods Though convenient sampling method and a self-designed questionnaire,the basic situ-ation of A total of 226 hemodialysis centers in medical institutions at all levels in Henan and the messages on hemodi-alysis VA coordinator were investigated on December 2022.Results Only 11.06％of the 226 hemodialysis centers centers had full-time posts of vascular access coordinator,and and the work content was relatively limited;Nursing managers suggested that VA coordinator should have at least 5 years of professional work experience in blood purifi-cation,had a bachelor's degree or above and a professional title of nurse in charge or above,obtained the certificate of specialist nurse in blood purification;Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the establishment of a VA team,human resource allocation,and conducting access related training were the influencing factors for the position setting of VA coordinators.Conclusion The results of this study indicate that the position of VA coordinator in Henan province is insufficient,and in the future,it is necessary to further improve the functions of this position and promote the development of this position by optimizing manpower allocation,strengthening channel related training,and establishing a channel management team.
