Design and development of the healthcare provider end APP of the"Support System for Parents of Children with Leukemia"
Objective To design and develop the healthcare provider end APP of the"Support System for Parents of Children with Leukemia",and to evaluate its usability.Methods From March to April 2022,interviews were con-ducted with parents of children with leukemia and healthcare providers to understand the interactive needs of the par-ents for the healthcare provider end APP,as well as the functional requirements of the healthcare providers for the APP.Based on the above,the function module of the healthcare provider end APP were designed,and the APP was developed in cooperation with software engineers.The formative usability evaluation and summative usability evalua-tion of the APP was conducted from June to August 2022.Results The healthcare provider end APP of the"Support System for Parents of Children with Leukemia"was developed,which included 4 major modules:online Q&A,chil-drens health records,knowledge recommendation,and personal center,offering doctor-patient Q&A interaction function,browsing and searching function of childrens health record,information synchronization,information up-date reminder,knowledge recommendation,medical staff qualification,and interactive data statistics function.The usability evaluation of the APP demonstrated satisfying results.Conclusion The healthcare provider end APP of the"Support System for Parents of Children with Leukemia"meet the needs of parents of children with leukemia and is suitable for use by healthcare providers,with good usability.
