GPT-4,the fourth generation of the GPT series of models developed by OpenAI,has demonstrated exceptional performance in numerous natural language processing tasks.GPT-4 even sur-passes the human level in some areas and has the potential to lead the productivity revolution.In the field of education,GPT-4 and its subsequent evolutionary versions are expected to have a wide range of applications.This study focuses on GPT-4 as the core subject,delving into its potential ap-plications in the field of basic education,including intelligent personalized learning,essay grading and intelligent feedback,and the generation of educational resources.To verify the actual effective-ness of GPT-4 in these scenarios,model simulations were conducted in various settings,implement-ing experimental applications of GPT-4 in basic education.This paper also analyzes the potential risks of GPT-4 in educational settings.
