Research on the Paths of Ecological Civilization Construction in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from the Perspective of Chinese-Style Modernization
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(GBA)bears the historic respon-sibility of exploring the path of Chinese-style modernization.Within this context,promoting harmoni-ous coexistence between humans and nature and strengthening ecological civilization construction,thereby enabling the GBA's ecological civilization construction to serve as a guiding force nationwide,constitute significant research areas.The GBA's ecological civilization construction boasts a solid foun-dation,evident in its status as a crucial national macro-strategic objective,notable achievements in green development,and substantial improvements in ecological and environmental quality.However,the GBA's ecological civilization construction also faces certain challenges,such as prominent contra-dictions between economic development and ecological governance;the need to improve cooperation mechanisms for ecological governance within the GBA;and significant pressures related to pollution prevention and ecological restoration.Therefore,in the process of comprehensively advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-style modernization,exploring paths for the GBA to become a leader in ecological civilization is of great significance.The paths are as follows:improv-ing cooperation mechanisms for environmental governance in the GBA;consciously implementing the development concept that"lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets";establishing a sci-entific and technological support system for ecological governance in the GBA;and safeguarding the ecological environment with the strictest systems and rule of law.
