Teachers in the southern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region are the key force in promoting the education of Standard Chinese.Their proficiency and application of Standard Chinese significantly impact the quality of teaching in schools in Southern Xinjiang.Southern Xinjiang is predominantly inhabited by minorities,making it essential to enhance the education of Standard Chinese.Strengthening the Standard Chinese training of Uyghur teachers and improving their acquisition are necessary approaches.This study integrates language acquisition and teaching theories,using experimental phonetics as the primary re-search method to systematically analyze three types of similar consonants,nasals,laterals,and semivowels,in the production of Standard Chinese by Uyghur primary school teachers in southern Xinjiang.Based on this analysis,the study establishes an acqui-sition ranking list for Uyghur teachers'nasals,laterals,and semivowels.According to the results,specific recommendations are proposed for improving Uyghur teachers'pronunciation accuracy.The ultimate goal is to improve their passing rate in Putong-hua Shuiping Ceshi and to provide scientific support for enhancing the level of Standard Chinese education in southern Xinjiang schools.
