At the time of the Han Dynasty,the Silk Road was interrupted for a time,and the communication between the Central Plains and the Western regions was hindered,but the process of the inward cohesion of the Chinese nation did not stop.In the sixteenth year of Yongping,Ban Chao went to the Western Regions as an envoy,and then with the help of Yutian and other countries,he expelled the Xiongnu,pacized the Western Regions,and reopened the Silk Road.The Ban Chao explored the West-ern regions for more than 30 years,taking Yutian as its main base,reviewing the political situation at that time,implementing rea-sonable and effective national policies,regregding the people's hearts,and unifying the Western Regions.Under the governance of Ban Chao,the rule of the Eastern Han in the Western regions was stable,and the economic exchanges between the Eastern Han and the Western regions gradually prospered.At the same time,it also promoted the identification of Chinese culture among the people in the Western Regions,and made an indelible contribution to the exchanges and integration of various ethnic groups along the South of Silk Road.
