Solvothermal Synthesis and Photocatalytic Activity of Bi2MoO6 Microspheres
Bi2MoO6 microspheres were synthesized via a solvothermal process under the appearance of tertbutylalcohol.Furthermore, the Bi2MoO6 spheres exhibited excellent solarlight-driven photocatalytic efficiency for the degradation of rbodamine B,up to 100% within 40 min, which was much higher than that of Bi2MoO6 microspheres synthesized under the appearance of cyclohexanol. The photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B under visible-light irradiation was examined which revealed that the reaction followed zero order kinetics with respect of rhodamine B concentration and rhodamine B was completely degraded via de-ethylation process. The as-prepared Bi2MoO6 exhibited high activity owing to the high surface area and multiple light reflections on the surface.
