Innovative and entrepreneurial talents serve as the bedrock for fostering the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. The central objective of innovation and entrepreneurship education within universities is to nurture pioneering talents, with satisfaction serving as a crucial gauge of its efficacy. This study surveyed 8048 college students across three open universities in the Chengdu-Chongqing region to assess their satisfaction with innovation and entrepreneurship education through questionnaires and interviews, followed by empirical analysis using SPSS soft-ware.Findings revealed that students held a generally high regard for the satisfaction and teaching quality of entrepre-neurship education within their institutions. However, notable disparities in satisfaction levels emerged among students of varying academic backgrounds, majors, and educational levels.Addressing the urgent needs of students, such as systematic learning of innovation and entrepreneurship theory, crafting entrepreneurial project plans, and managing entrepreneurial teams, emerged as pivotal areas for improvement. Moreover, factors such as gender,entre-preneurial practice, and experience in entrepreneurial competitions positively influenced entrepreneurial willingness.Drawing from these insights, the study proposes strategies and recommendations aimed at bolstering the high-quality development of innovation and entrepreneurship education within universities in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. These encompass bolstering policy support, enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem, fostering diverse educa-tional platforms, implementing targeted entrepreneurship education, and refining the curriculum structure of entrepre-neurship education.
