A Study on the Current Situation and Enhancement Strategies of National Language Proficiency for Adult Students——A Case Study of Inner Mongolia Open University
Adult students in the remote open education system should be focused on in the broad context of promoting and popularizing the national spoken and written language.The questionnaire survey is conducted to ana-lyze the level and characteristics of the national spoken and written language proficiency of adult students at the Inner Mongolia Open University.Based on this,this group is found to have a diverse age structure,uneven foundational levels,and relatively weak acquisition abilities.However,their flexible learning times and a strong desire to improve their personal capabilities are demonstrated.Given the particularity of adult students,strategies for enhancing their national spoken and written language abilities can be implemented through four collaborative efforts,which cover the implementation of differentiated teaching,improvement of the supply of digital resources,innovation of teaching activ-ities,and increase of teacher training.The purpose of these measures is to lay a language foundation for the consoli-dation and expansion of the achievements of poverty alleviation and realizing rural revitalization,further solidifying the consciousness of the Chinese nation as a community.
