摘要
语素多义性是影响复合词词义加工的一个重要因素.在控制实验词为词义完全透明的双音节复合词的基础上,将其按前后语素义项数多(L)、中(M)、少(S)三档组合划分成九类,以25名中高级汉语水平的外国学生为被试,考察他们对这些复合词词义的猜测和理解情况.结果表明语素多义性对中高级外国学生习得汉语双音节复合语义透明词有影响,但不同多义语素组合模式的影响程度存在差异:义项数较少的语素更容易提取,从而更容易推断整词语义;义项数较多的语素则反之.从语素多义性角度探究外国学生词汇习得,对引导外国学生辨析多义语素义项、利用语义透明词推动词汇教学和建立国际中文教学中多义语素的分类分级体系有重要的参考价值.
Abstract
Morpheme polysemy has a significant impact on compound word lexical processing.On the ba-sis of controlling that the experimental words were two-syllable compound words with completely transpar-ent lexical meanings,they were divided into nine categories according to the three combinations of the number of preceding and following morphemes'meaning items,namely,large(L),medium(M),and small(S),and 25 intermediate and advanced foreign students with Chinese proficiency level were taken as the subjects,to investigate their guessing and understanding of the lexical meanings of these compound words.The findings indicate that morpheme polysemy affects intermediate and advanced foreign students'acquisition of Chinese words with two syllables and compound semantic transparency,but there are dis-parities in the degree of effect of different polysemantic combination patterns.That is,morphemes with fe-wer elements are easier to extract and thus easier to infer the meaning of the whole word,whereas mor-phemes with more items are the opposite.Exploring foreign students'vocabulary acquisition from the per-spective of morpheme polysemy has important reference value for guiding foreign students to identify the meaning of polysemous morphemes,promoting vocabulary teaching by utilizing semantically transparent words,and establishing a classification and grading system of polysemous morphemes in international Chi-nese language teaching.
