Identification of centipedes using ultra high performance liquid chromatography quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry peptide recognition technology
A specific identification method for centipedes and their mixed varieties was established based on characteristic peptide segments.Using trypsin to perform enzymatic hydrolysis on authentic centipede(Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans L.Koch)and falsify centipede(S.subspinipes multidens Newport),and three characteristic peptide segments of centipede and its mixed forgerates were screened by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-four-stage bar time-of-flight mass spectrometry and Mass Profiler Professional stoiometric statistical analysis. An ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-triple tandem quadrupole bar mass spectrometry was established to further verify the specificity of the characteristic peptides of Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans L.Koch and S.subspinipes multidens Newport. The characteristic peptides segments of Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans L.Koch m/z 615.2,S.subspinipes multidens Newport m/z 477.3 and m/z 845.9 were identified. The method has strong specificity, good repeatability and simple operation. It can be used for the identification of centipede and its mixed varieties, and provide ideas for the quality evaluation and research of centipede.
