Determination of plutonium in deep-sea fish by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry
A method for the determination of radioactive nuclide plutonium content in deep-sea fish by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS)was established.Ashing and microwave digestion were performed on cod samples, and plutonium in the digestion solution was enriched and extracted using TEVA resin.Uranium was eluted with 10 mL of 8 mol/L nitric acid solution.Bi was used as the internal standard, and the plutonium content was determined by ICP-MS.The mass fraction of plutonium had a good linear relationship with the ratio of the response signal values of plutonium and internal standard element in the range of 0-1.0 ng/g.The correlation coefficient was 0.999 9.The detection limit of the method was 0.03 ng/kg.The average recoveries of sample spiked were 64.6%-67.2%,and the relative standard deviation of the determination results was 1.44%-4.29%(n=6).The method can be used for the determination of plutonium content in deep-sea fish.
