From July 2017 to August 2018,west of Yingbin Road,Kaifeng Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology conducted an excavation that preceded the city's capital construction at the site of a large-scale complex of Ming Dynasty,revealing over 30 foundation ruins and unearthing 13,000-plus utensils for daily use and components of buildings.According to the unearthed horizontal inscribed board and related historical documents,it can be confirmed that,at the site,there was the residence of Prince of Zhou of Ming Dynasty,also known as Prefectural Prince Yongning.The excavation is of great significance for the research into the scales and structures of residences of prefectural princes of Ming Dynasty and the city layout of Kaifeng in Ming Dynasty.
