In September 2020,the archaeological excavation by Hunan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology at M1 in Yinjiachong Village preceded local capital construction. With a short tomb tunnel,Ml is a single-chambered tomb built with bricks on which inscriptions like"In the 27th year of Yuanjia Era,all the blessings to the descendants"have been found. The unearthed porcelains bear typical features of those made during the time from late Eastern Jin to early Southern Dynasties. The characteristics of their bodies and glaze,as well as their setting and firing in kilns, are consistent with those of Yuezhou ware made in the same period.Ml in Yinjiachong Village is one of the very few tombs with a clear date of early Southern Dynasties in Hunan Province. The unearthed celadon wares are valuable materials for the research into the chronology and sequence of the products of Yuezhou Kiln.
