In 2016,to support the later stage of the construction of protection shed No.3 of Lajia National Archaeological Site Park,institutes of cultural relics and archaeology conducted salvage excavations in Zone Ⅸ1 of Lajia Ruins,revealed two ash pits of late Majiayao Culture period as well as two ash pits and one ditch of Qijia Culture period,and unearthed a considerable number of cultural relics.The discoveries of potteiy drums of Majiayao Culture and painted pottery pieces in the style of Xichengyi Culture within the ash pits of Qijia Culture period are particularly important.
