From May to June in 2011,preceding the construction of the Danjiangkou Reservoir,which is part of the Middle Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project,excavations were carried out by relevant institutes at Hegang tombs.Tomb M3,dating from the early to mid Western Han,is comparatively well-preserved,and contains abundant funeral objects.This Provides valuable archaeological evidence for the research into the culture of Han Dynasty in the area that is the modem-day Danjiangkou Reservoir.
