Preparation of bioadsorbent modified chestnut pods and research on the adsorption performance of Cr(Ⅵ)
A bio adsorbent material with good adsorption performance for Cr(Ⅵ)was prepared using agricultural and forestry waste chestnut pods as raw materials and hydrogen peroxide as a modifier.Taking the adsorption rate as the optimization objective,orthog-onal experiments were conducted on the basis of single factor experiments to obtain the optimal modification conditions:temperature 80℃,hydrogen peroxide concentration 10.0%,hydrochloric acid concentration 0.01 mol·L-1 and time 0.5 h.The structure of modified chestnut pods was characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).By optimizing the adsorption conditions of modified chestnut pods for Cr(Ⅵ)through orthogonal experiments, the adsorp-tion rate of Cr(Ⅵ)was 61.8%under the conditions of 0.8 g of modified chestnut pods,an initial concentration of Cr(Ⅵ)of 20 mg·L-1,,and an adsorption time of 60 minutes. The adsorption process of modified chestnut pomelo on Cr(Ⅵ)was obtained by fitting the kinetic equation, which conforms to the quasi second order kinetic equation.Thermodynamic experiments have shown that the adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ)by modified chestnut pods is an exothermic and entropy reducing process.
