Adsorption performance of nitro-modified biochar for tetracycline
Acid-modified biochar(HBC)was prepared from peanut shells by impregnation method.HBC was characterized and ana-lyzed by SEM,FT-IR,XRD,XPS,and BET.Tetracycline(TC)was used as the target pollutant, and the effect of reaction conditions on the adsorption of TC by HBC was examined, and the adsorption mechanism of TC by HBC was investigated. The results showed that the adsorption capacity of HBC reached 22.73 mg·g-1 when the initial concentration of TC was 150 mg·L-1,the reaction temperature was 30℃,the dosage of HBC was 1 g·L-1,and the initial pH of TC solution was 5.The adsorption process was more in line with the pseudo-second-order kinetic and the Langmuir model, and the adsorption capacity of HBC only decreased by 17.1%af-ter 4 cycles of experiment. The adsorption capacity of HBC decreased by only 17.1%after 4 cycles of experiments, which has a high stability. Therefore,HBC has good potential for application.
