Analysis of Guangxi coastline changes from 1987 to 2021 based on multi-source remote sensing
The changes in the coastline directly affect the ecological environment of the coastal zone and are of great significance. This paper studies the rate and cause of the spatiotemporal change of Guangxi coastline from 1987 to 2021.Based on the semi-automatic extraction and the MNDWI threshold segmentation technology and tidal level correction principle, the total length change of Guangxi coastline in the past 35 years is obtained through the multi-scene remote sensing satellite images. The results show that the length of Guangxi coastline has shown a trend of decreasing first and then increasing in the past 35 years, with the proportion of artificial shoreline increasing, the proportion of silt shoreline decreasing, and the length of other biological shoreline, sandy shoreline and bedrock shoreline decreasing in general.Among them, silt deposition, tidal wave erosion and meteorological disasters are the main natural driving forces, while land enclosure, destruction of mangrove forests and construction of seawalls are the main man-made driving forces.
