Correction of Kriging negative-weight based on minimum cross-entropy for considering distance
A modified method is proposed to address the issue of negative-weight in the Kriging. This method takes into account the spatial correlation and structure between reference points.Firstly, the subjective weight is calculated through distance weighting. Then the objective weight is calculated through cross-entropy minimization. Finally, the correction weight is obtained by combining the subjective and objective weight. The validity of the method is verified by grid elevation data of three experimental areas including Shigatse,Shangrao and Changchun. The results show that the method eliminates the negative-weight,and the weight is adapted to the position of the reference point. In the experimental areas, the interpolation accuracy and mapping effect of the method are better than that of the Kriging algorithm and the inverse distance weighted algorithm, with the mean absolute error of 0.116 1 m,0.489 3 m and 0.013 2 m respectively. Therefore, this method can provide useful reference for the correction of interpolation weight.
