Efficiency evaluation of underwater lost target search using multi-beam system
In response to the issue of low efficiency in underwater target search using multi-beam systems, this paper proposes an improved method for line deployment.Firstly,it analyzes and establishes a time-consuming calculation method for underwater target search based on typical line deployment methods. Then, numerical simulations are conducted to assess the influencing factors of search time under given conditions, thereby determining the optimal line deployment scheme for multi-beam systems considering factors such as different beam opening angles, vessel lengths, and regional water depths.Experimental results indicate that, during small vessel operations, the efficiency of the search using the weave and cross-line methods is significantly superior to the spiral and loop methods, while during large vessel operations, the cross-line method yields the highest efficiency. These conclusions contribute to a deeper understanding of the interaction and impact patterns among various factors, thereby identifying the primary factors affecting search efficiency and proposing corresponding improvement measures and optimization suggestions.
