Comparison of the accuracy of water depth retrieval with no ground truth based on different remote sensing images
To test the applicability and accuracy of remote sensing images with different spatial resolutions in water depth retrieval with no ground truth. In this paper, with the spatial resolution of 2 m WorldView-2 image,10m Sentinel-2 image and 16 m GF-1 WFV4 image,Zhaoshu Island and Ganquan Island as the research area, the dual band log-linear analysis model based on no ground truth was used to invert the water depth value. The results of inversion were compared with the measured water depth and the accuracy was evaluated. The results show that the bathymetric inversion model with no ground truth of WorldView-2 image in the two research areas has the highest accuracy,Sentinel-2 image has the better accuracy, and GF-1 WFV4 image has the lowest accuracy. Moreover, the spatial resolution of remote sensing image, radiation resolution and geometric positioning accuracy of non-controlled points have influence on the bathymetric inversion results of the dual band log-linear analysis model with no ground truth.
