Establishment of sea surface topography model in the coastal waters of Guangdong province
The coastal waters of Guangdong province currently lack a high-precision sea surface topography model, which hinders the provision of accurate calibration and unified conversion for the seamless vertical datum in Guangdong province. This paper establishes a benchmark station using 19 years of water level data from a tide gauge station.Other long-term and medium-term tide gauge stations are densified through the method of average sea level transfer. This is combined with leveling survey data to determine the sea surface topography values at the tide gauge stations.Ultimately,an inverse distance weighting method is employed to develop a sea surface topography model in the coastal waters of Guangdong province. The assessment reveals that the error is better than 3.2 cm,significantly surpassing the precision levels reported in relevant literature. This model provides high reference and practical value for studies on the unification of land and sea benchmarks in Guangdong province.
