The application of marine survey technologies in wreck salvage of"Kea Trader"
The wreck"Kea Trader"was located in the shallow water reef area near New Caledonia in the South Pacific Ocean. In order to adapt to the special sea conditions and topographical conditions,a variety of marine survey technologies were used to salvage the wreck. In view of the different technical requirements of the pre-salvage marine survey stage, the attitude monitoring stage of the working ship sitting on the bottom in the reef and the formal wreck salvage stage, the salvage of the wreck"Kea Trader"was completed by the use of various key salvage techniques. The practical application proved that the combined application of marine survey technologies such as the attitude monitoring of sitting on the bottom, integrated inertial navigation and 3D sonar real-time monitoring can effectively solve the technical problems of wreck salvage sitting on the bottom in the shallow water reef area and improve the efficiency of wreck salvage.
