In Bi Feiyv's short story Feed Me,physical spaces were constructed first for the characters'activity and the general tone of the short story macroscopically,and then the non-physical spaces were depicted for the promotion of the narrative process and the exposition of the influence on characters'destiny microscopically.From the perspective of spatial narrative,both physical spaces and non-physi-cal spaces present characteristics of opposition,contradiction,and alienation.Spaces in this story show not only the stipulation of characters but characters'passive alienation,and finally reveal the root cause of alienation.
