The Dilemma and Path of Deepening the Study on the Grand Canal Culture
The Grand Canal culture and its study are the foundation and prerequisite for the construc-tion of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt,and the most important part as well.However,the study of the Grand Canal culture at present,lags behind the construction obviously.Further attention from relevant government departments and further promotion by the academic community are needed.The paths of deepening the study on Grand Canal culture include:solidifying research foundation based on histori-cal facts,which is also the prerequisite for the study;conducting expansion and innovation of research methods learned from the latest technologies used in Archaeology and Geodetics,in which special em-phasis should be given on field investigation;deepening the generalization and sublimation of the nation-al spirit and era value in the research content,and establishing it as the research focus.
