Restoration of the Built Environment of Fengshan Temple-Wenfeng Palace and the Infinite Life Buddha Pagoda in Putian
Fengshan Temple and Wenfeng Palace are located in the core protected area of the historic district of Putian urban area.They are important components of the ancient city and have a long history.In the past decades of urban construction,there has been a lack of effective protection and reasonable planning for the layout of palace and temple buildings,resulting in a fragmented current built environment that is incompatible with the surrounding built environment.In this article,we study the built environment of Fengshan Temple and Wenfeng Palace from the perspectives of diachrony and synchronicity,and explore the relationship between historical streets and alleys,then we reproduce the historical pattern of the Fengshan Temple and Wenfeng Palace architectural complex,and restore the iconic building of Fengshan Temple Wuliangshou Buddha Pagoda in the city,finally we propose a restoration image of the palace and temple architectural complex and the surrounding built environment based on the current urban built environment,so as to enhance the style of the historical block in protection.
