Boundaries serve as the medium where two types of spaces connect.The remodeling of boundary space has a significant promoting effect on the process and effect of urban renewal.Qixinggang of Chongqing is impressive for its diverse and unique boundary spaces,but the vitality of these public spaces is generally low.How to further preserve and promote the characteristics of the mountain city and eliminate the adverse effects brought by the boundaries is currently an urgent issue to be studied.Exploring the design strategy of the boundary space in the Qixinggang area,and combining the current characteristics,we propose two design principles:retaining positive boundary attributes,weakening negative boundary separation,and combining boundary effects,we also propose a three-point design method,and summarize three design strategies:deepening boundary space design,balancing"isolation"and"connection",and promoting site characteristics,in order to promote community activation and urban renewal in the area.
