Among the 35 cities through which the Grand Canal flows,the city-river relationship is different,and Hangzhou city-river dependency relationship has its own uniqueness.By combing the historical development process of Hangzhou canal,we analyze the reasons why the canal passing through the city,and then discuss the influence of the canal on the urban development,so as to deeply understand the characteristics of Hangzhou city and river dependency.
