The application of information technology and diverse perspectives can help to deeply analyze spatial characteristics and development issues. The research expands the dual perspectives of"material and society",and combines multiple research methods of morphological zoning, big data analysis, and social survey.Firstly,we divide the form types of historical districts, then analyze the material forms and spatial usage characteristics of various morphological units.Lastly, based on the judgment of the comprehensive value of various morphological units,we propose renewal strategies for each morphological unit. The research conclusion indicates that:the renewal of historical districts requires a multidimensional analysis of spatial user's characteristics to determine the renewal time series and modes, instead of being limited to spatial form analysis. The research aims to provide new ideas for the linkage management of historical districts'space and population, and the research conclusion has guiding significance for effectively guiding the self-owned resources and power of historical districts.
