Comparative Study of Residential Architectural Features Between the Jino and Dai Ethnic Groups:A Case Study of Eight Traditional Villages in Xishuangbanna
Residential architecture is an important component of traditional village preservation and development.Analyzing and comparing its architectural features can promote the exploration,preservation,and development of traditional culture among ethnic minorities.Focusing on eight nationally renowned traditional villages in Xishuangbanna,where villages are well-preserved and possess a unique and profound regional cultural background.Among them are four villages of the Jino ethnic group and four villages of the Dai ethnic group,we make a comparative study on the morphological characteristics of their residential buildings and explore the similarities and differences in their formation causes,then we summarize the generational updates of residential buildings brought about by the changes of time,so as to provide optimization suggestions for subsequent updating modes.
