Challenges,Vision and Recommendations for Aid to Education in the Development of Digital Education in Africa
Promoting the development of digital education in Africa is an important aspect of China's educational assistance to Af-rican countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.Currently,there are challenges facing the development of digital education in Africa,including insufficient and uneven distribution of digital education infrastructure,weak digital application capabilities a-mong teachers,and inadequate readiness of students for the digital transformation of education.After a thorough analysis of the National Statements of Commitment submitted by 43 African countries to the Education Transformation Summit,it is discovered that Africa's future development visions,in response to current challenges,include ensuring equal opportunities for everyone to access digital learning,developing high-quality digital learning content and universally accessible platforms,and promoting in-novation in digital education teaching methods.Based on this,concrete recommendations are provided for China's implementa-tion of the education assistance strategy to Africa,focusing on enhancing the targeted assistance for digital education infrastruc-ture,providing multi-faceted support for improving the digital literacy of African teachers,and sharing the Chinese experience in the reform of digital education teaching methods.
