Visual Analysis of Common Adverse Birth Outcomes Based on Electronic Medical Records
Adverse birth outcomes, such as premature delivery, macrosomia and low birth weight infants, not only affect the morbidity and mortality in the perinatal period, but also influence the long-term health of newborns. At present, the pathogenesis of preterm birth, macrosomia and low birth weight infants is still not clear. It is difficult for doctors to find high-risk groups in the early phase of clinical diagnosis, and it is also difficult to analyze the variation characters during pregnancy. With the popularity of electronic medical records and the development of visualization technology, the early risk warning and assessment of adverse birth outcomes could be supported and improved. In this study, obstetric electronic medical record data were used to design a visual analysis method for common adverse birth outcomes based on electronic medical records.High-risk groups were found through characteristic distribution sunrise map and numerical distribution map.The variation of pregnant during pregnancy was shown with number change map corresponding to normal and abnormal characteristic values. Finally, three case studies were constructed to demonstrate the effectiveness of this visualization method.
