Application of Digital Therapeutics in Improving the"Triad"of Impairments in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Autism spectrum disorder(ASD)is a serious neurodevelopmental disorder.Its core symptoms are the"Triad"of impairments,i.e.,social interaction,communication skills and imagination.Based on current epidemiological situation of children with ASD and the development of digital therapeutics,this article introduced the relevant research results of digital therapeutics on intervening the social interaction,communication and imagination ability of ASD children,and demonstrated the application prospects of digital therapy in intervention of ASD.Furthermore,relevant suggestions for future research were proposed from the dimensions of the generalizability of the research sample,compatibility and personalized customization of intervention plans,and the follow-up investigation of the intervention's long-term effects.
