Small RNA Transcriptome Sequencing-based Study of MicroRNA in Penicillium expansum
MicroRNA(miRNA)plays a diverse array of roles in the regulation of eukaryotic gene expression. In order to investigate the molecular-level involvement of miRNAs in the development and pathogenicity of the postharvest pathogen Penicillium expansum, the small RNA transcriptome sequencing was implemented in the present study.Through this analysis, one known miRNA and seventeen newly predicted miRNAs were detected, and their sequences, precursor structures, and potential target genes were described.Additionally,a comparative analysis with intracellular miRNAs in P.digitatum was also performed.
