The rapid development of information technology,epitomized by ChatGPT,has had a profound im-pact on foreign language teaching.The reality presents challenges for the information of foreign language teaching in universities.Factors influencing the informatization of foreign language teaching include both external elements and issues within the realm of foreign language educators themselves.Elevating the standard of foreign language infor-matization teaching requires educational authorities to refine information management systems;universities should prioritize technical training and strengthen assessment systems.Foreign language educators must enhance their awareness of information literacy,foster a community for information literacy,and establish a teaching reflection mechanism.The collaborative efforts of these three entities present an effective pathway for enhancing informatiza-tion teaching.
