Research and Practice on Teaching Cohesion of Algebraic Courses for Mathematics Majors
Abstract Algebra and Advanced Algebra are the two most fundamental and important alge-braic courses for undergraduate students majoring in mathematics.Ensuring effective teaching cohesion be-tween these two courses is of great significance for students to systematically learn algebraic knowledge, master the algebraic course system, and enhance their core algebraic literacy. This paper elaborates on how to achieve effective course cohesion between Abstract Algebra and Advanced Algebra from three as-pects:students'cognitive psychology, teachers'teaching methods, and the organization of course content. The effectiveness and good applicability of the strategies have been demonstrated through the teaching practice of algebraic courses.
