The Confucian Feelings of Tang Wu Scholar Yu Que in the Yuan Dynasty
Yu Que was one of the few Tang Wu literati in the Yuan Dynasty to have a collection of poetry and literature passed down,which was named Collection of Qingyang's Works.He was also one of the few heroes who had received praise from the Yuan and Ming Dynasties.Yu Que was taught by philosopher Zhang Heng and prac-ticed Confucianism as an official,attaching great importance to education.His poems were filled with Confucian sentiment of caring for the country and the people,and loving the people and things.Studying Yu Que from the perspective of Confucianism,we can better understand his character and literary quality of a Tang Wu scholar,glimpse the historical facts of ethnic integration in the Yuan Dynasty,and provide a historical mirror for building a harmonious society.
