Given that the slot shape of the rotor in bearingless induction motors has a significant impact on motor performance,this paper analyzes the influence of slot shoulder shape on motor starting character-istics,load characteristics and levitation force of rotor system.Under the condition that the speed is less affected by the suspended winding,this article studies a four-pole bearingless motor and simulates the per-formance of motors with different slot shoulder heights and widths by finite element method.The obtained design reduces torque fluctuations to a certain extent,and the influence of slot shoulder width on torque vi-bration and levitation force is greater than that of shoulder height.This lays the theoretical basis and method for slot shape optimization in the subsequent design of such motors.
