The Effect of Paeonol on the Jejunum Motility of Rat
A Healthy SD rat is selected as the research object to study the effect of paeonol on the jeju-nal motility function.Approximately 2cm of jejunal tissue is extracted from the anesthetized rat and per-fused with Krebs solution to maintain its physiological activity. In the perfusion fluid, different doses of paeonol solution are added, and the effect of paeonol on spontaneous contraction of intestinal segments is observed. Then, acetylcholine is added into the perfusion fluid to induce high tension contraction of the je-junum.After that, the experiment adds paeonol and observes its effect on acetylcholine induced contrac-tions.The results show that paeonol has a relaxing effect on both spontaneous and induced contractions of the rat jejunum.
