In the digital age,data governance is of great significance for improving the scientific nature of gov-ernment decision-making and the efficiency of service quality.This article collects relevant data on data govern-ance of municipal governments in Shandong from 2021 to 2023,and uses Entropy Weight Method to determine indi-cator weights.Research has found that key indicators affecting the data governance capabilities of local governments mainly include the number of functional departments,professional personnel,and the number of provincial-level and above digital economy development planning documents.To enhance the data governance capabilities of local governments,it is necessary to strengthen data governance planning and institutional construction,improve quality of data utilization and services,accelerate the construction of digital governments,and improve the level of govern-ment services.
