摘要
作为中国佛教协会的首任会长,圆瑛法师对近现代佛教发展作出了很大贡献.在近现代社会变革与佛教改革的交互影响下,圆瑛法师在组织建设、佛化教育、爱国爱教等方面作出了符合时代发展的思考与实践.圆瑛法师一直坚持保护传统教义,坚持在延续传统教制的基础上对佛教教育进行革新,其教育实践亦实现了学修一体以及丛林与学院相统一的目标,对佛教教育的发展产生了积极影响,对佛教现代化发展具有指导意义和现世价值.
Abstract
As the first president of the Buddhist Association of China,Master Yuan Ying made significant contributions to the development of Buddhism in modern and contemporary times.Amid the interaction between social changes and Buddhist reforms,Master Yuan Ying engaged in activities aligned with the times in areas such as organizational development,Buddhist education,and patriotic support for Buddhism.He consistently upheld traditional doctrines while innovating Buddhist education within the frame-work of traditional ecclesiastical structures.His educational practices successfully integrated study and practice,as well as unified monastic and academic institutions,thereby positively influencing the development of Buddhist education.Master Yuan Ying's work holds guiding significance and contemporary relevance for the modernization of Buddhism.
