Impact of digital trade development on economic resilience:Empirical study based on panel data from 30 provinces and municipalities in Chinese mainland
The development of digital trade has a significant impact on economic resilience. In order to verify the degree of this impact empirically, evaluation index systems of economic resilience and digital trade were constructed with the help of entropy method,by selecting panel data of 30 provinces and municipalities in Chinese mainland from 2011 to 2021,so as to explore the impact of various aspects of digital trade on economic resilience at the national level, and at the regional level in southern and northern China by means of and ridge regression. The empirical results show that at the national level, all aspects of digital trade have a significant impact on economic resilience, and the ranking of impact degree from large to small is industrial digitalization and digital industrialization scale, logistics level,Internet environment, digital technology level, and trade potential;at the regional level,in northern China, the Internet environment has no obvious effect on economic resilience, while the trade potential has no obvious effect on economic resilience in southern China. Therefore, relevant suggestions are proposed to enhance economic resilience from different aspects of digital trade, including expanding the scale of industrial digitization and digital industrialization, filling regional gaps, improving the overall level of logistics, strengthening digital technology to empower the economy, and leveraging the potential advantages of digital trade.
