Study on Water Resistance of Phosphorous Gypsum Modified by Sodium Methylsilicate
Based on the effect of different content of sodium methylsilicate on the physical and mechanical properties of phosphorous building plaster, the water resistance of phosphorous building plaster with 0.9%content of sodium methylsilicate was tested under dry-wet cycle. The results show that sodium methylsilicate has a certain retarding effect on phosphorous building gypsum and can improve the water resistance of phosphorous building gypsum. With the increase of sodium methylsilicate content, the absolute dry compression and fracture strength of phosphorous building gypsum decreased first, then increased, and then decreased again. When the content of sodium methylsilicate is 0.9%,the properties of phosphorous building plaster are improved obviously under dry-wet cycle.
